Here is a chart showing the reflectivity of different metals at different wavelengths. It looks like copper, silver, or gold will outperform aluminum at typical near-IR frequencies. Look for one with a wavelength between 900 and 1025nm. You could maybe get away with 850nm (which will cost less), but the sensitivity of the detector is lower by a factor of 10 at this wavelength.
