I do one where you knit/purl the next stitch and then knit tbl/purl the new stitch together with the one on the right needle. It's great on Garter stitch and Stockinette stitch as well. The Icelandic Bind-Off ticks all the boxes. The Latvian and EZ Sewn bind-offs also get the treatment here. Garter stitch may well be the perfect knitted fabric.
