WebThis is a nice Virginia state park but be aware that getting there is a challenge. There are 2.5 miles of very curvy, steep and narrow grades coming in from the east on US 58. We have a 26 foot travel trailer and did OK but I was really impressed with the campers that came up in their 32 foot 5th wheels. WebIf you're looking for elevation gain, Highland Lakes State Park has you covered. Upper Ridge, Lower Ridge, and Orange Trail Loop boasts the most elevation gain with 643 ft of total ascent.
