WebJun 28, 2024 · Virgin ground or heavily compacted soil is always going to be more difficult the first time your going thru it. Personally, I prefer a 3 point roto tiller and/or a large walk behind. Once you break the ground up, it will become much easier when retilling, weeding, etc. Of course, soil type, rocks, etc can make a difference.

After that just a disc should work unless it starts to compact again. If not compacted than just a disc should do.
