In my personal experience, the popular .50 size jet causes so much clutch drag when warm that it's ridiculous. The condition of the clutch hydraulic fluid is unlikely to be the culprit in this case.

There's a simple way to check it without spinning your engine and release bearing to redline. Put the car on a lift (or jackstands) and start the motor, release the clutch in neutral and watch the rear wheels. WebNov 26, 2024 · The main issue is clutch drag. The clutch plates hold fluid and together, put a little pressure on the gear train when released. Add to that the design of the shift drum and you have issues finding neutral. The drum is designed to skip over neutral. Deep clutch adjustment and thin primary fluid help. But the forsure fix is a N-1 shift drum.
